Gail Provost Stockwell Inducted into Cambridge Who's Who Executive, Professional and Entrepreneurial Registry
Ms. Stockwell is an award-winning author of three young adult novels

SOUTH LANCASTER, MA, December 3, 2008 /Journalism and Writing News Articles/ -- Gail Provost Stockwell, Co-Founder and Creative Director of WRITERS RETREAT WORKSHOP (WRW) and WRITE IT / SELL IT (WISI), has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in the writing/publishing industry.

With 25 years of professional experience, Ms. Stockwell excels at nurturing aspiring writers and their dreams of success. As producer/director of the WISI seminars and workshops, audio/video home-study courses (WRITING TO WIN and VIDEO NOVEL WORKSHOP), and editorial services, she has helped thousands of fiction and nonfiction writers dramatically improve their work for submission. The guiding principle for Gail Provost Stockwell has been "to share the warmth, wit and wisdom" of the late Gary Provost, one of the nation's leading instructors of writing-for-publication. WRW, established in 1987, continues to offer an intensive, personalized 10-day program for writers ready to develop their novels (of any genre) and craft them into publishable shape. The internationally renowned WRW program was selected by USA Today as the learning vacation for writers "that can change your life."

Ms. Stockwell is also an award-winning author of three young adult novels: Good If It Goes (1985 National Jewish Book Award Winner), Popcorn, and David and Max. The updated, revised edition of David and Max won a 2007 Skipping Stones Honor Award in the category of Multicultural & International Awareness, and became a companion selection for the comprehensive teacher's resource guide and student activities series, TEACH TO REACH.

Prior to her career in publishing, Ms. Stockwell taught art to elementary and junior high school children, co-founded a community theater group in which she produced, set-designed, performed and directed music, and later visited schools as "The Fairy Tale Lady," combining her love of fairy tales with music and art.

WRITE IT / SELL IT is dedicated to helping serious-minded writers make enormous leaps in their understanding of story "sense," novel structure, writing technique, self-editing skills and the business aspects of being a novelist.
