John Glavin Honored by Cambridge Who's Who
John Glavin is the writer of "Trapped on the Wheel: Chicago's Columbian Exposition of 1893"
WILMETTE, IL, September 21, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- John Glavin, Author at Dickinson Publishing House, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in writing.
With 25 years as English Department Chair and nine years as a teacher, Mr. Glavin attributes his success to his luck. At his current post, he is in charge of rewriting, editing, attending conferences, and networking with and meeting other authors. His wife and daughter assist him in running the business, which he began in November 2008.
Mr. Glavin is qualified to teach at grammar school, high school and college levels. He has been working on a book entitled, "Trapped on the Wheel" Subtitled: Chicago's Columbian Exposition of 1893" for 14 years. He is a member of the Illinois Education Association, Writer's Digest and Phi Beta Kappa.
In 1959, Mr. Glavin received his Master's Degree in English and History from DePaul University. He also received his Bachelor's Degree and certificate in administration. Currently, he is authoring a sequel, "Striker!" about the Pullman Railroad Strike of 1894.
