Catherine G. Patsos Inducted into Cambridge Who's Who
Catherine G. Patsos concentrates her practice in health care regulatory and compliance matters, as well as litigation
NEW YORK, NY, October 01, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Catherine G. Patsos, Special Counsel at Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in legal services.
In her current capacity at Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP, Ms. Patsos advises health care providers on Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement issues, government audits, compliance with anti-kickback, Stark, and fraud and abuse laws and regulations, FDA compliance issues, including clinical trial disclosure requirements and fraud and abuse issues, and not-for-profit governance issues. She has been with the firm for 11 years and in her current position as Special Counsel for 3 years. Ms. Patsos authored an article entitled "The Constitutionality and Implications of the Prison Litigation Reform Act," 42 NYLS L. Rev. 205 (1998), and has contributed to PLI seminars on health care issues. She attributes her success to her education, dedication to her clients and work ethic.
Ms. Patsos is a member of the New York State Bar Association and its Health Law Section and the American Health Lawyers Association. She is a member of the New York State Bar and an inactive member of the New Jersey State Bar. She is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and the United States Supreme Court. She is also active in community and national not-for-profit organizations, including being a member of the board of directors of Community Access, Inc., a member of the Advisory Board for the Lollipop Theater Network, and a volunteer with a modern dance company.
Ms. Patsos received her B.S. from The Fashion Institute of Technology in 1985, and her J.D., cum laude, from New York Law School in 1999, where she was the supervising editor of the New York Law School Law Review and received the Alfred L. Rose Award for Excellence. She is also the recipient of the Otto L. Walter Distinguished Writing Award.
