Clark Y. Hall III plans to develop Frascati Shops Inc. on the international level
MOBILE, AL, November 23, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Clark Y. Hall III, Chief Executive Officer and Owner of Frascati Shops Inc., has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in railcar service and repair.
Prior to establishing Frascati Shops Inc. in 1992, Clark Y. Hall, also known as "Corky", was employed by Gulf, Mobile and Ohio, and Illinois Central Gulf Railroads for 30 years. He then embarked on a career with Contel Cellular, where he was seen as one of the company's career pioneers. He was the manager of Contel Cellular's first storefront retail operation and was in charge of the company's first in-line mall store, located in Arkansas. He was later picked to work in Richmond, VA, where he successfully tapped into a heavily desired market and secured work for Contel Cellular with some of the top companies in the local area. He was recognized for his achievements with the Tower Award for General Manager of the Year (1988), and was named Outstanding Performer (1987).
After living and working in seven states, Mr. Hall returned to Mobile, AL to consummate a life-long dream of owning his own business. Today, he operates Frascati Shops Inc. with his son, Clark Y. Hall IV. Frascati Shops Inc. is an AAR M-1003 certified railcar repair shop that provides railcar service and repair for railroads and railcar equipment leasing companies in the U.S. In 1995, Frascati Shops Inc. received "The Future 30" Small Business Award from the Mobile Area Chamber of Commerce.
In an interview with Cambridge Who's Who, Mr. Hall was asked to point out an accomplishment of which he is most proud, He didn't hesitate. "The highlight of my career was the successful relocation of Frascati Shops Inc. to its current location. This move was critical, as the Alabama State Port Authority announced plans to build a new $300 million container terminal in 2007 and gave us notice to vacate our leased facility no later than September 30, 2009. Our only options were to dissolve the business and let the employees go, or develop a plan and attempt to save the business and the 30 jobs it supported. We leveraged all we had, and successfully relocated and rebuilt," he recalled. He is also very proud of the company's workmanship.
Alabama Seaport, The Official Magazine of the Alabama State Port Authority, featured the articles "Frascati Shops, Inc. on the Fast Track for Growth" and "At the Helm: Corky Hall" in its March 2010 and April 2010 issues. Readers learned about Corky, the company's new business location, and particular emphasis was placed on Frascati Shops Inc.'s use of advanced technologies. In 1991, the feature article "Excellence in Richmond Business" appeared in the Annual Edition of Kleos Magazine.
