E. Jerry Davies' background in television news helped prepare him for a career in media relations

Jerry Davies, Assistant Vice President of Media and Public Relations for North America at the Farmers Insurance Group of Companies, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in media relations.

With 32 years of professional experience, Mr. Davies' background is in television news. In the past, he has also worked as a deputy insurance commissioner in Florida. For the last four years, he has managed North American public relations for the Farmers Insurance Group of Companies. He is also in charge of handling community events and addressing company issues involving products and agents. Mr. Davies attributes his success to his work ethic and passion for his industry.

Mr. Davies earned a Bachelor of Arts in journalism and marketing from the University of Miami. Afterward, Mr. Davies received a master's degree in journalism and sociology from Iowa State University of Science and Technology. He belongs to the Public Relations Society of America, serves on several boards of insurance, professional and government groups. He also supports the March of Dimes Foundation. His goal is to leave a legacy of hard work and professional dedication behind him.
