Helen Macie Osterman Named to Exclusive Membership Organization
Mystery writer Helen Macie Osterman looks forward to the publication of her fourth book, "The Elusive Relation"
HOMER GLEN, IL, November 17, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ --Mystery writer Helen Macie Osterman has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in fiction writing.
A Chicago native, Helen Macie Osterman pursued her childhood dream and earned a Bachelor of Nursing degree from Mercy Hospital-St. Xavier College and later earned a Master's Degree from Northern Illinois University. Throughout her 45-year nursing career, she wrote articles for both nursing and medical journals, and served as coordinator of a program at Hines VA Hospital. Thirteen years ago, she began living vicariously through her fictional character, Emma Winberry, the heroine of her mystery novels: "The Accidental Sleuth" (published in 2007), "The Stranger in the Opera House" (published in September 2009), "Notes in a Mirror," (published in November 2009), and "The Elusive Relation" (scheduled for publication in 2011).
Ms. Osterman serves as a board member of the Southwest Chapter of the Lyric Opera of Chicago. She maintains affiliation with Sisters in Crime, the American Association of University Women, and Mystery Writers of America. Ms. Osterman is also an accomplished artist. Four of her paintings of Maxwell Street in Chicago are part of the Chicago History Museum collection.
