Industry Leader Kathleen M. Swaney Added to the Cambridge Who's Who Network
Kathleen M. Swaney has been working at Royal View Elementary School for almost eight years
CHARDON, OH, November 30, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ --Kathleen M. Swaney, Paraprofessional at Willoughby-Eastlake City Schools, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in special education.
With 12 years of professional experience, Ms. Swaney attributes her success to her patience and passion required to teach and help special needs students. As a paraprofessional for the orthopedically handicapped, she is responsible for teaching kindergarten through third-grade, working closing with the special education and mainstream teacher as she creates lesson plans and sets academic goals for her students and collaborating with teachers and parents to help students succeed. She received a paraprofessional certification from the University of Akron. Ms. Swaney has written two books, "William's in a Wheelchair" which was an introduction to William and his special needs and "William's Terrible, Horrible, Trip Down the Hall." This story is an adaptation of the obstacles William faces as he tries to make a trip down the hall in his wheelchair.
