Steven H. Hoisington Honored by Cambridge Who's Who
Steven H. Hoisington was selected as a judge for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award program in 2008

WILLOWBROOK, IL, November 23, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Steven H. Hoisington, Vice President of Quality and Reliability for Electro-Motive Diesels, Inc., has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in business operations.

With 25 years of professional experience, Mr. Hoisington has six years of experience as the vice president of quality and reliability for Electro-Motive Diesels, Inc. He has developed an expertise in quality management and operations management, specifically in the large and small manufacturing and service sectors. On a daily basis, he develops and executes quality management strategies. He also analyzes customer satisfaction surveys and organizational measurements, and offers ideas for improvement utilizing Lean Six Sigma and Baldrige principles. The highlight of his career was being selected as a judge for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award program by the U.S. Secretary of Commerce in 2008.

In 1984, Mr. Hoisington earned a master's degree in business administration from Winona State University, which followed the receipt of a Bachelor of Science in industrial engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. He also holds an Associate of Arts in mechanical engineering technology from Rochester Community College. A certified quality manager by the American Society for Quality, Mr. Hoisington is also a certified project manager by the Project Management Institute. He is a certified Six Sigma black belt and has co-authored several publications, including "Six Sigma in Health Care" and "Six Sigma in Corporate Real Estate."

Mr. Hoisington is a member of the Minnesota Council for Quality, the Wisconsin Center for Performance Management and the Institute of Industrial Engineers. He serves on the board of directors for the Wisconsin Forward Award and the board of examiners for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. He is also a lifetime member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and The American Legion. Named in Marquis Who's Who, Mr. Hoisington is listed in its world, American, science and technology, and business and finance editions.
