Laurie J. Cyr-Martel Named to Exclusive Membership Organization
Laurie Cyr-Martel excels as a clinical consultant for emergency services

AUBURN, ME, December 16, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Laurie J. Cyr-Martel, Manager of Crisis Services at Tri-County Mental Health Services, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in psychology and counseling services.

With specializations in emergency services, psychological trauma and forensics, Ms. Cyr-Martel has 20 years of professional experience. As the manager of crisis services at Tri-County Mental Health Services, her responsibilities include managing the mobile outreach crisis team, the community trauma response team, and the crisis stabilization program. She also supervises 40 individuals and approves clinical assessments. Ms. Cyr-Martel is also a part-time faculty member at the University of Southern Maine Lewiston-Auburn College, where she teaches for the Social and Behavioral Science Program. She is the published author of "Responding to Psychological and Behavioral Emergencies: A Resource for Police, Fire and EMS."

Ms. Cyr-Martel received a Master of Science in counseling psychology from Antioch University in 1997. Previously, she obtained an associate degree in fire technology and a bachelor's degree in social and behavioral sciences. A certified mobile intensive care paramedic, she is a member of the American Counseling Association, the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation, and the New England Crisis Negotiators Association. She is the recipient of numerous awards, including a Kelsey Award for Quality and Excellence in Mental Health and an Award for Gratitude from the Lewistown police department. In the future, Ms. Cyr-Martel hopes to focus her work on a private practice.
