Velma 'Val' Richardson Named to Exclusive Membership Organization
Velma 'Val' Richardson is a woman of many talents
ROWLETT, TX, December 27, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Velma 'Val' Richardson, Retired Owner of Rainbow Reflections, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in business management.
Ms. Richardson has 49 years of overall professional experience. She has been a high school English and literature teacher before becoming a guidance counselor. Additional experience includes real estate and owning Rainbow Reflections, a bed and breakfast. Now at 84-years-old, she will soon pass the Volunteers in Police Service Training and begin patrolling the streets for code violators; additionally, she volunteers at two food pantries. She also routinely delivers speeches at the Galveston Unitarian Fellowship, is active in the Rowlett Democratic Club and has done Op-Ed work for the Galveston Daily News.
In 1965, Ms. Richardson received a master's degree in counseling and guidance from Pasadena College. She received a Bachelor of Arts in education in 1955 from Seattle Pacific College and a diploma in ministry in 1949 from the Prairie Bible Institute. A licensed real estate broker, she holds a California Teachers Certification and Washington Teacher Certification as well as a certificate in education administration.
