Arline June Pearce honored for excellence in publishing and patient care
BARNEGAT, NJ, February 26, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Arline June Pearce, Registered Nurse and Poetess, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in nursing and authorship.
With over 50 years of professional nursing experience, Ms. Pearce specialized in ICU/CCU. The last 15 years of her nursing career was spent investigating fraud through physician and hospital audits.
Currently, she acts as a poetry ambassador to inspire writing through speaking engagements at women's groups, colleges, churches, schools and graduations. Ms. Pearce published two books titled, A Peach Colored Rose (2002) and Memories in Poetry (2004). Both books are dedicated to her late husband. She is currently drafting her third book, titled Forget-Me-Not, which will be ready for publication in 2011. All proceeds from book sales are awarded to children interested in writing.
Ms. Pearce, (mother, grandmother and great-grandmother) attributes her success to her parents, Lillian and Victor Favino, who died when she was 18; and to her late husband, Walter N. Pearce.
Ms. Pearce earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from William Paterson University.
She is a member of the NJ State Nurses Association, The American Nurses Association, and the American Association of University Women.
She was the recipient of awards in Excellence in Psychiatric Nursing at graduation, and also, received multiple poetry and writing awards - i.e.; Poet of the Year Awards from 2002-2008 and Editor's Choice Awards.
As a volunteer with The Reserve Corp of Ocean County and The American Red Cross-Jersey Coast Chapter she spent three weeks in Mississippi to aid with the Katrina Disaster.
Ms. Pearce loves playing the piano, sketching portraits and writing. She will continue ringing her bell, singing her song, and sharing her love.
