PORTLAND, OR, March 26, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ --Cynthia J. Hubb, Senior Technical Writer for Novellus Systems, Inc., has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in her career.
Cynthia J. Hubb is a multi-faceted writer, musician and local historian. With two decades of combined professional experience, she now thrives in her eighth year as Senior Technical Writer for Novellus Systems, Inc., a semiconductor capital equipment manufacturer. At her post, she is responsible for writing technical manuals, making engineer information end-user friendly, editing and rewriting content and developing procedural information solutions. She also manages activity pertaining to maintenance, facility planning, operations and manuals.
In an exclusive January interview with Cambridge Who's Who, Ms. Hubb credited her father as a driving force behind her success. "He suggested that I get into technical writing, since he worked for IBM. I thought it would be a good fit because I'd always enjoyed writing." Today, she notes that the most rewarding aspect of her technical writing career is delving into the jargon of the manufacturing industry and optimizing its user-friendliness.
Outside Novellus Systems, Inc., Ms. Hubb enjoys a full and rewarding career as a writer, musician and tour guide. She has performed both as a soloist and in a number of musical groups over the years. As a volunteer tour guide in The Shanghai Tunnels, she gives tourists history with a little bit of theatrical flair. In connection with the Shanghai Tunnels, Cyndi has appeared in the Travel Channel's "Most Terrifying Places in Americal II" and Rachel Ray's "Tasty Travels." Also a fiction writer, Ms. Hubb is currently finishing the last edit of her mystery/adventure novel targeted towards an adolescent demographic, soon to be ready for publishing. In all of her endeavors, Ms. Hubb demonstrates a unique persistence, a strong work ethic, and attention to detail.
Ms. Hubb holds a bachelor of arts in English from Westmont College. She is a member of the Society for Technical Communication and the Cascade Geographical Society. For more information on The Shanghai Tunnels, please visit http://www.shanghaitunnels.info.
