With 12 years of professional experience, Starla K. Criser is noted for her skills in office management. She lends her talents to two sister companies: Criser and Mardis, Chartered, an accounting and financial planning firm, and Criser, Gough & Parrish, a tax, consulting and accounting firm. Ms. Criser is proud to be associated with these complementary companies, both known for providing innovative and comprehensive financial services to successful businesses, service organizations and individuals across Kansas and the United States.
In addition to her work for these two firms, Ms. Criser is a talented and accomplished author with a particular focus on romantic fiction. Currently working toward full-time authorship, she already has an impressive repertoire of published material. Bearing the pennames Starla Kaye and S.K. Fero, her most popular works include "Executive Decision," "Ranch Heat," "Tug of Love," "If You Loved Me" and "Buying Trouble." Her most recent work, "So Wrong, So Right" is slated for release in August through Red Rose Publishing. Besides her nine books, Ms. Criser has written 16 novellas and a number of short stories including "Hell to Pay," published in 1999 in Short Stories Magazine.
A graduate of Wichita State University, Ms. Criser holds a Bachelor's Degree in Gerontology. She serves as president of Wichita Area Romance Authors, and is a member of the Romance Writers of America and the Kansas Writers Association. Also an active member of the Wichita community, Ms. Criser has volunteered with Senior Services, Inc. for 13 years, has written a monthly newsletter for a senior group for 14 years, and is on the board of Music Theatre of Wichita.
