F. Gena Canton earned a Master of Science in Management with a 3.97 GPA

At St. Dominic-Jackson Memorial Hospital, Ms. Canton edits X-ray and medical reports, and performs diagnostic imaging studies. She also faxes reports to doctors, assembles medical records, collaborates on special projects, and transcribes and interprets physician dictations regarding patient assessment, procedures, diagnosis and prognosis. Ms. Canton also manages a home-based medical transcription business. With 21 years of field experience, she attributes her success to her dedication, determination and focus.

In 2010, Ms. Canton earned a Master of Science in Management with a 3.97 GPA at Belhaven University while working a full-time job, along with her part-time home-based business, and raising a family. She also holds a Bachelor's degree in History and Secondary Education with a minor in Business. In the future, she hopes to be able to use her newly obtained master's degree in a job that is challenging and worthwhile.
