Deborah H. French Named to Exclusive Membership Organization
Deborah H. French celebrates 15 years in the publishing industry

GREAT NECK, NY, June 10, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Deborah H. French, Director of Publications and Print Communication Services for Zimmerman/Edelson, Inc., has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in public relations.

For 15 years, Ms. French has excelled in public relations and strategic communications. With clients in the government, education and corporate sectors, she has provided counsel and developed communications plans and materials across diverse platforms. In her current role as director of publications & print communication services for Zimmerman/Edelson, Inc., she manages a team of copywriters, graphic designers and support staff in the development of newsletters, brochures, videos and other client projects. She has developed seminars and workshops for the firm on writing for public relations, as well as on social media strategy. Over the past two years, Ms. French has developed a reputation as a knowledgeable and self-directed leader in the creative use of social media as a PR tool.

Presently pursuing her Ph.D. in Media Psychology at Fielding Graduate University, Ms. French earned her Master of Arts in English and Comparative Literature at Columbia University in 1992, and her Bachelor of Science, summa cum laude, at New York Institute of Technology in 1990. She returned to NYIT as an adjunct, where she taught English courses and business writing for three years prior to joining Zimmerman/Edelson, Inc.

Ms. French is the cofounder of Awe in Autism (www.aweinautism.org), a website aimed at providing inspiration and encouragement to those impacted by autism. She has traveled to Zimbabwe, and is currently involved in a project to provide clean drinking water for a rural community there. Ms. French is also credited as a researcher and scriptwriter in documentary film. She is a member of the International Association of Business Communicators and an affiliate member of the American Psychological Association.
