With over 39 years of professional experience, Ms. Rutz attributes her success to her work ethic and integrity. As president of the Union Agency, Inc., she is in charge of overseeing operations including human resources and financial management. She previously worked in marketing and advertising. In 1981, she earned her Master of Arts in Journalism and Advertising from the University of Nebraska. Additionally, she participated in coursework in journalism and advertising, is a licensed life, health, annuity, property and casualty agent, and holds a Series 6 Securities license.

Ms. Rutz is a member of the Lincoln Area Chamber of Commerce, the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, and the American Advertising Federation. He received the New Agent of the Year Award in 1993 from the Principal Financial Group, the Distinguished Service Award in 1989 from the Leadership Lincoln Alumni National Association, and the Woman of the Year Award in 1988 from the Lincoln Advertising Federation.
