Frontier Airlines is the Best in the Business, Due To Solidarity Between Management, Employees & Vendors
The head of cargo operations for Frontier Airlines, Roger Welch, explains that strong camaraderie between the management team, employees and vendors has enabled the division to grow exponentially.
SAN DIEGO, CA, January 28, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- In an interview with Supply Chain Digital, the head of cargo operations for Frontier Airlines, Roger Welch, explains that strong camaraderie between the management team, employees and vendors has enabled the division to grow exponentially.
In the article, Welch says, "Retention is all about the managers, who foster the culture. The order of priorities is people, service then profit. If you get the right people to do the job through training, they give the service customers need and in term you get the profit. It's a circle I look forward to."
Essentially, the cargo division is a smaller airline within the overall Frontier operation. Though there aren't many levels to the organizational structure, the chain begins with Welch, then works down to Paul Bratz, who oversees shipping, and Pat Keegan, who handles operations at Frontier's Milwaukee hub. "I know the product, but I'm confident in the team I'm with. I couldn't feel better about where we stand right now," Welch says.
