Diane Kraut meets her clients' deadlines and budgets as the president and CEO of DK Research, Inc.

Ms. Kraut has more than 20 years of experience in the publishing industry and started her company, DK Research Inc., a photo research company that specializes in textbooks, in 1993, increasing her annual income from $12,000 to $30,000. Her expertise includes text permissions and copywriting and in her role as president and chief executive officer, she oversees independent contractors, solicits clients, and handles publishing projects.

Ms. Kraut has been a freelance text permissions and photo research editor for more than two decades and attributes her success to her perseverance, hard work, conscientiousness with project deadlines and budgets, and the fact that she enjoys what she does. She became involved in her profession because she loved publishing and wanted to be available to her children.3

In 1983, Ms. Kraut earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication, with a concentration in journalism, from C.W. Post. She is also a member of the Editorial Freelancers Association. In the future, Ms. Kraut wants to see her business grow even more and see it triple in revenue.
