With more than four decades of writing experience under her belt, Ms. Svehla shines as an author who is committed to honing her craft and promoting her work. She has long been moved by the encouragement that she has received by her family members and by her passion for writing, and this motivation prompted her to forge a career path as a writer. She received an Associate of Art from the Christian College for Women in Columbia, Missouri, which is now known as Columbia College, and has since established herself in the publishing world.
Ms. Svehla has been writing in one format or another for 40 years. She got her start writing for women's newspapers and has written freelance articles for various local newspapers. Throughout her career, she has written a little bit of everything, including obituaries. After years of aspiring to become a novelist, she released her first novel, "New Account Murders," in 2007 under the pen name Suzanne Elliott. Her second novel, "Willoughby," a heartwarming story of love and intrigue, was released in 2010. Ms. Svehla's husband served in the military for 22 years. She has raised four children and has eight grandchildren.
